Projectors are used not only in education but also in business, entertainment and more.
There are four major types of projectors that we use today. There are DLP, LCD, LCOS and Laser. I will explain each of these four.
What is a DLP projector?
A DLP projector is a projector that uses digital light processing technology. It emits light using millions of tiny mirrors. DLP projectors can have up to three chips (or red, green, or blue) DLP chips. Because of the brightness of these DLP projectors, they are often used in well-lit classrooms and lectures.
What is an LCD projector?
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) technology is also a popular type of projector. Similar to the technology used in monitors, it has three layers and produces the main colors red, green and blue.
Light passes through these three layers and transmits a signal line. When this signal line is obtained, each pixel is sorted to produce an image. LCD projectors are mainly used in exhibitions and small home cinemas.
What is an LCOS projector?
LCOS stands for Liquid Crystal Technology on Silicon. This projector is a hybrid of DLP and LCD that combines the advantages of the above two technologies. Therefore, it can produce higher quality images. The image quality is better, but the downside is that the lightest LCOS projector can weigh up to 12 pounds, making it difficult to carry around.
Laser Projector
Laser projectors have been expanding the market since 2015. These laser projectors can emit any light source. This is why it provides the wettest, brighter images in the best colors visible to the human eye. Other advantages are guaranteed up to 30,000 hours, while the downside is expensive. But with good credit, you might find exactly what you need.

Xiaomi’s laser projector features an Anti-Direct-Viewing-Sensor that prevents direct contact with the human eye. Plus, you can resize the image you want to view from 80 inches to 150 inches. It will appeal to everything from teaching to watching movies.
